Stay Connected to the Child Friendly Cities Initiative!

Dear Houstonians,

The City of Houston is well underway toward recognition as a UNICEF Child Friendly City. You are an essential partner in this process and the Mayor’s Office of Education would like to invite you to continue to engage with the initiative and stay updated through our official CFCI City of Houston newsletter.

The Child-Friendly Cities Initiative (CFCI) was launched in 1996 by UNICEF to respond to the challenge of realizing the rights of children and now it operates in more than 3,500+ cities and communities. Houston has joined San Francisco and Minneapolis as the first cohort of U.S. cities to implement the CFCI in the United States.

The CFCI COH newsletter will include updates on the Child Friendly Cities Initiative (CFCI) process, upcoming CFCI trainings/events, opportunities for youth to get involved with the community, and community announcements/resources. Newsletter subscribers will find valuable information to advocate for the safety, well-being, and success of children and families, especially the most vulnerable. Click here to join!

If you are interested in subscribing, please complete our newsletter signup form. Feel free to share the signup form with anyone you think may benefit from receiving our newsletter. Click here to view a copy of our latest newsletter.

We hope you consider our invitation and help us ensure the safety, well-being, success, and inclusion of Houston children. Thank you!
