Meet the Advisory Board - Maritza Guerrero
Maritza Guerrero President & CEO of Community Family Centers, has over 33 years of experience in government and non-profit agencies as a practicing psychologist, counselor and administrator. She has been with Community Family Centers, a non-profit organization, since 1993 in the roles of counselor, Program Director, and Vice President of Operations before becoming President and CEO in 2006. She has grown the agency into a thriving nonprofit organization, serving more than 40,000 people in the Magnolia, East End area of Houston. CFC offers programs which create short and long-term solutions for individuals in poverty by offering emergency services combined with educational opportunities. Programs include Adult Education, Family Support Services, Early Childhood Education, and Youth Services including school-based Prevention Education/Intervention components to reduce risk factors. Ms. Guerrero is married and has three children.
