COMMUNITY DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY: Its heavily landscaped boulevards are lined with condo and apartment projects, office buildings, distribution centers and retail centers. Developed with a central plan beginning in the 1970s, it has undergone an increase in the density of development as Houston boomed. The opening of the West Belt increased access and helped to end the real estate slump of the 1980s here. On the western edge of the area is the old Andrau Air Park. This privately owned airport has closed and a gated country club community has been announced for this large tract.
