Why: | The City of Houston SWMD, the City Gardens and the Center for Recycled Art are featuring local artists in an exhibit promoting recycling in creative and innovative ways. The exhibit features holiday trees decorated with recycled materials, some of which are sourced from The City’s Reuse Warehouse and the Environmental Service Center South. The exhibit is free, open to the public and can be viewed 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, December 5 to 28, 2012.

“Holiday Trees: Artistically Upcycled” sponsors include Niko Nikos, Majic 102.1, Harpist Ashley Reeder, Rods Surveying, Inc., Keep Houston Beautiful, Trees For Houston, The City Gardens Consortium, Ambers Designs and Fine Jewelry, Frontier Barbeque and Home Depot.
