Independence Day Holiday Schedule Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) July 4, 2012 – July 5, 2012

Wednesday, July 4, 2012
No collection services today. All SWMD facilities closed. The Westpark Recycling Center, Neighborhood Depositories/Recycling Centers and the Reuse Warehouse will be closed today.

Thursday, July 5, 2012
Resume SWMD normal operations schedule today; 1st Wednesday’s and 1st Thursday’s Tree Waste collected today. The Westpark Recycling Center, Neighborhood Depositories/Recycling Centers and the Reuse Warehouse re-open.

As a reminder: The City of Houston began accepting clean block style, packaging polystyrene foam June 25, 2012. The material can be dropped off at the Westpark Recycling Center, 5900 Westpark, Houston, Texas 77057 or the Environmental Service Center South, 11500 South Post Oak, Houston, Texas, 77035.
