Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Stabbing at 7575 Office City Drive

February 15, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal stabbing of a man at 7575 Office City Drive about 1:55 a.m. today.  

The suspect, Rogelio Calzada (H/m, 18), is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court.  A  photo of Calzada, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.  

The identity of the victim, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detective J. Escobar reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to an assault call to an apartment at the above address and found the victim unresponsive on the living room floor.  Paramedics pronounced him deceased. 

A witness stated Calzada was assaulting a female when the victim intervened. Calzada then assaulted the victim by stabbing him several times.  When the witness returned, Calzada was seen fleeing the apartment.  The witness then found the victim with trauma to his chest and called 911.
