Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting at 1484 Lockwood Drive

February 17, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a woman that occurred at 1484 Lockwood Drive about 8:50 a.m. last Friday (February 14).

The suspect, Darryl Dewayne Thompson (b/m, 54) is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 263rd State District Court.  He is not in custody.  A 2017 booking photo of Thompson is attached to this news release.   

The victim, Danielle Mitchell, 30, was shot more than once and was transported to an area hospital. 

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer P. Pak reported:

Ms. Mitchell, who works at a restaurant at the above address, was inside the business when Thompson, her ex-boyfriend, confronted her with a handgun.  Mitchell attempted to run away from Thompson as he shot at her multiple times.  Mitchell was able to run out of the restaurant.  Thompson then fled the scene.  Paramedics transported Mitchell to an area hospital.
