Investigation into Fatal Crash at 700 South 75th Street

March 18, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 700 South 75th Street about 5:50 p.m. on Saturday (March 16).

The male victim, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer Jones reported:

The victim was operating a white Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed while traveling westbound at the above address when he struck a teal-colored Honda Pilot.  The driver of the Pilot had just entered the intersection of Azalea after stopping at the stop sign when she was struck near the median.

The driver of the Pilot remained at the scene.  She was examined by a DWI Task Force officer and showed no signs of impairment.

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
