Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing Incident at 9447 Cullen

June 3, 2019 - Charged have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a woman that occurred at 9447 Cullen about 10:05 p.m. on Saturday (June 1).

The suspect, Cornell E. Martin (b/m, 36) is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 338th State District Court.  A booking photo of Martin is not available at this time.

The victim, Barbara Ceaser, 56, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in an unknown condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives C. Bowling and A. Hernandez reported:

According to Ms. Ceaser, the suspect (Martin) stabbed her after she refused to put a Xanax pill in an unknown male's drink.  Paramedics transported Ceaser to the hospital.  Martin was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
