Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing Incident at 8162 Richland

June 3, 2019 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man that occurred at 8162 Richland about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday (June 1).

The suspect, Terrance Vance (b/m, 23), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 176th State District Court.  A booking photo of Vance is attached to this news release.  

The victim, Reginald Arcenaux, 45, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Ferrell and J. Roberts reported:  

Mr. Arcenaux and Vance had been fighting when Vance, retreated inside his grandmother's house behind a locked gate.  While Vance was inside, Arcenaux began throwing rocks at the house and broke a window.  Vance then sneaked outside of the house, around the back and then climbed a six foot fence.  He then sneaked up behind Arcenaux and stabbed him in the back.  Paramedics transported Arcenaux to the hospital.  Vance was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
