Investigation into Woman Found Deceased at 6608 Sherwood Drive
April 24, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 6608 Sherwood Drive about 2 a.m. today.
The victim, Zuleaki Hernandez, 23, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Chebret and Detective M. Waters II reported:
Ms. Hernandez's family members found her in the bathroom of her residence. Evidence from the scene indicated a struggle had occurred and nothing appeared to have been stolen.
Hernandez was last seen last Friday (April 21) driving up to her driveway in a black SUV between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. At that time, witnesses reported seeing a white 1999 Ford F-350 pickup truck with Texas license plates CYR9360 parked on the driveway on the south end of the residence. Hernandez was then seen trying to get her dogs back in the yard and then went inside the residence. The truck left the residence a short time after that.
The vehicle had a sign on the tail gate "Antonio Ayala Roofing," damage to the hood and a large sticker on the rear window resembling an El Salvador flag with the numbers "503" on it. A photo of the wanted vehicle and a photo of a possible likeness of the window sticker are attached to this news release.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
