HPD Vice Hits Jackpot in Gambling Investigation


March 1, 2011 - Investigators in the Houston Police Department's Vice Division have arrested five suspects following a lengthy undercover investigation into eight-liner game rooms operated in various locations throughout Houston, Harris, Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties.

The suspects, Nancy Donalson (w/f, DOB: 7-20-77), Terry Wayne Donalson (w/m, DOB: 10-12-71), James Keith (w/m, DOB: 5-19-36), Alton Donalson (w/m, DOB: 4-23-34) and Mario Flavio Correa (H/m, DOB: 8-6-70) are charged with felony money laundering in the 351st State District Court.

A sixth suspect, Carlos Delgado (H/m, DOB: 1-25-72), remains at large.

The eight-liner game rooms were at the following locations: 

  • 10930 Kingspoint - Lucky Bee Game Room
  • 8310 Gulf Freeway - Gulf Paradise
  • 2728 South Richey - Lucky Game Room
  • 5630 Edgemoor - Cardinal Leak Detection
  • 12338 Maple Leaf Lane (Stafford, Tx.) - Terry and Nancy Donalson's residence
  • 7919 Twin Hills - Alton Donalson's residence
  • 1412 and 1502 Ahrens (strip mall center) Terry and Nancy Donalson's business offices


In an investigation that began in April 2010, HPD vice officers targeted the owners/operators of illegal game rooms.  Vice officers conducted surveillance and undercover operations that netted more than $1.5 million dollars in currency, nearly $200,000 in bank account assets, 10-acre river-front property in Brazoria County, guns, jewelry, various vehicles, boats, jet skis, motorcycles, and heavy-duty tools.  Investigators also recovered several currency counters, and more than 250 video gambling devices.

At 2 p.m. TODAY (Tuesday, March 1), investigators from the HPD Vice Division will be available to answer questions regarding this investigation in the media briefing room, HPD Headquarters, 1200 Travis.
