Volunteer Assessment

Welcome to the ParkHouston Volunteer Program Training

We appreciate your interest is joining our program. The mission of the program is to protect the rights of people with disabilities. If you are certified for the program, you will be a representative for the City of Houston, it will be imperative that you treat the public with courtesy and respect and cooperate with all law enforcement agents. Aggressive behavior, racial or ethnic slurs and threats will not be acceptable.
After you view the required classes, you will take the assessment. We will receive an email with your results. Upon successful completion of the assessment, we will email a link to complete an online criminal background check. Any pending cases or convictions for a class A misdemeanor or a felony will prevent certification.

When we receive your cleared background check, you can set an appointment to pick up your materials and ticket book. We look forward to meeting you! Here’s to great success on your service as a volunteer for ParkHouston. You help us to ensure that those with disabilities can work, live and play. – Thank you!
