Be ready, it's about to get hot: Signs of heat illness and what to do

Heat and Houston go together. We do get a reprieve during our winter months. But winter is over. Spring is officially here. We have already had temperatures in the mid-80s, and it will feel like summer in no time.

Now is the time to remind ourselves how quickly the South Texas sun can bring on heat illnesses — some serious enough to require immediate medical attention. We wanted to spotlight these hazards and what to do about them.
