Learn How the City of Houston is Fighting Human Trafficking and Access Free Information and Toolkits!

Find out what the City of Houston is doing to stop human trafficking by reading its Anti-Human Trafficking Strategic Plan, available to download for free at www.humantraffickinghouston.org. Organizations and partners both local and national can also access free toolkits.

Mayor Sylvester Turner and his community partners recently released the first phase of the City's Anti-Human Trafficking Strategic Plan, which is the nation's first comprehensive response to human trafficking at the city-level. Mayor Turner also announced how the City of Houston will support other cities and organizations by sharing its human trafficking resources through free downloadable toolkits.

Read the Strategic Plan and see how the City of Houston is raising awareness, working with providers to improve social services, implementing joint initiatives, and strategically adopting new policies. Anti-human trafficking organizations, as well as interested partners, can also access toolkits that will help them:

  • Understand how to pass municipal ordinances;
  • Raise awareness by partnering with the transportation industry;
  • Engage in direct victim outreach;
  • Launch an anti-human trafficking media campaign; and
  • Be informed about large events and human trafficking.
