Check Out HPL’s Summer Reading Program for Challenges, Prizes, Events and More Through July 31

Summer Reading

Houston Public Library (HPL) invites readers of all ages to join the John P. McGovern Summer Reading Program (SRP) reading challenge! Whether you read as a family or on your own, listen to an audiobook, or have someone read to you, all of it counts towards your ultimate reading goal of 30 books (for kids age 4 & younger) or 30 days (for older kids, teens, and adults).

Don't forget to check out HPL’s Events page for fun, free SRP programming all summer long! We’re welcoming award-winning author and poet Benjamin Alire Sáenz to Carnegie Neighborhood Library July 13 at 10:30 AM.

To sign up for our summer reading program, create a free Beanstack account online or simply login to your existing account. You can track your reading on your computer or with the Beanstack app (for Apple or Android). Read, log, and win cool prizes!
